Which watersheds are most important to restore for the ocean’s health?

Posted by Richard Joyce | Maine, United States

The ocean bears the brunt of our activities on land— development, agriculture, pollution. Rivers carry sediments, chemicals, plastics, and excess nutrients to the sea. Which watersheds would give us the most bang for our buck if we took action to restore them? What are the fastest and most cost-effective restoration actions?
